ERA countries, you are entitled to free or reduced-cost emergency
medical treatment in most countries if you can produce a E111 Form,
Available fron your local Post office. You must ensure that it is
completed and correctly signed and stamped prior to departing for
your holiday. The E111 Form is the Community document that enables
the holder to emergency treatment.
Reciprocal Agreement Countries
If you are travelling outside of the European
Economic Area, do not worry! There are over 40 other countries world
wide with which Britain has established reciprocal health care agreements
with and will entitle you to emergency medical treatment in the
event of fall illness or an unfortunate accident. The following
are some of the countries that the agreement covers.

There are over 100 Countries world wide with No
Health Care Agreements With The UK. The United Kingdom does not
have any health care agreements whatsoever with the countries and

You are strongly advised to take out full medical
insurance which will cover the full cost of any medical treatment
you mat have. If travelling to countries outside the EEA that has
no reciprocal medical agreement with the UK, you will need some
insurance. It is also wise and safe to take out some medical insurance
for countries with which the UK has reciprocal health care agreements.
